Unfamiliarity with the tractor he was operating might have played a role in an accident that killed a Pulaski County man Wednesday, according to Pulaski County Coroner Richard New.
Clarence "Butch" Crow, 53, died of head injuries. Crow was using a tractor and Bush Hog to clear a field 15 miles east of Somerset when the tractor went down a steep hill at high speed and hit a tree, New said.
Crow was thrown against the cab of the tractor.
New said the tractor was large, and Crow apparently was not familiar with it.
Never miss a local story.
Crow was from Indiana but had moved to Pulaski County about three years ago. He had family in the area, New said.
His survivors include a 5-year-old daughter, New said.
