A Russell County man has been indicted with murder in connection with the April shooting death of another man, Kentucky State Police said.
Charles P. Farmer, 45, of Russell Springs was indicted Friday by a Russell County grand jury in the shooting death of Daniel Shane Popplewell, 43, also of Russell Springs.
The two got into a verbal argument that led Farmer to shoot Popplewell inside Farmer's residence on Branch View Lane on April 27, state police said. Farmer was charged and jailed that day.
Farmer remains in the Russell County jail in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
