Three people have been killed in a wreck on Interstate 75 in Whitley County, according to Sheriff Colan Harrell.
Harrell said two trucks were driving north when they collided just past the 18 mile marker, north of Williamsburg.
The three people who died were in one vehicle, Harrell said.
The wreck happened about 3:15 p.m. Friday, said Harrell.
Both sides of the interstate were blocked, and authorities were diverting traffic onto U.S. 25 at Corbin and Williamsburg.
Harrell said the cause of the wreck wasn't known as of late afternoon. Kentucky State Police are investigating and sent an accident reconstruction expert to the scene, Harrell said.
The names of those killed were not immediately available.
