A second person involved in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Ky. 90 in Wayne County has died, according to a state police news release.
Gladys Parmley, 69, of Monticello died Tuesday night at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.
Louanne Ellis, 57, of Somerset was pronounced dead at the scene by the Wayne County coroner.
Police said a 2002 Kia Spectra, driven by Eric Branscum, 25, of Sterns was traveling east on Ky. 90 in Monticello when his car struck the rear of an eastbound 2003 Camry driven by Jessica Whitaker, 28, of Somerset, according to police.
The impact sent the Camry traveled into the westbound lane of Ky. 90, and it was hit in the passenger side by a 1992 Dodge Caravan driven by Veila Stephenson, 75, of Monticello. Ellis was a passenger in the Camry, and Parmley was a passenger in the Caravan.
Parmley, Whitaker and Stephenson were flown to UK hospital. Whitaker and Stephenson were listed in serious condition Wednesday morning, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Branscum, who was not wearing a seat belt, was not injured, according to police. The drivers and passengers of the Camry and the Caravan all wore seat belts.
Police said alcohol and drug use were not suspected.
