Interstate 75 southbound is blocked in Laurel County because a crane overturned, according to the state transportation department and Kentucky State Police.
Ky. 909 and U.S. 25 are being used to detour around the wreck, which occurred about 4:40 a.m., according to state police.
A state police dispatcher said at 7:15 a.m. that the southbound lanes could be closed four to five hours.
Vehicles are being diverted off I-75 at exit 49, the transportation department said. Drivers are advised to turn left on to Ky. 909 and right onto U.S. 25 south. A right turn at the Ky. 80 intersection gets vehicles back to I-75 at exit 41.
