A 28-year-old woman was seriously hurt in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Bell County, but an infant in her car escaped injury.
Kentucky State Police said Keisha Powers of Pineville lost control of her 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix, which ran off Ky. 1534 and struck a tree.
She was taken to the Pineville Hospital with what state police described as serious injuries.
A 4-month-old child, Trinity Powers, was in a child-restraint seat in the back seat of the car and was not injured in the crash, troopers said.
The crash occurred about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday in the Page community.
Keisha Powers apparently was not wearing a seat belt, according to state police.
The wreck remains under investigation.
