Two people were killed about 9:30 p.m. Monday in a crash on eastbound Ky. 52 near Lancaster, the Garrard County coroner said.
Four passengers were ejected from a Chevrolet van after the driver of the van lost control, coroner Daryl Hodge said. The van crossed over the center lane and went up a embankment 20 to 25 feet high on the opposite side of the road, Hodge said. The van flipped several times.
Stephanie Lunsford, 32, and James Anthony Gaines, 33, were killed immediately, Hodge said.
The other two passengers were taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, Hodge said.
