A video that shows a same-sex couple being denied a marriage license in Rowan County has gone viral far beyond Kentucky's borders.
On Monday, David Moore and his partner of 17 years went to get a marriage license from Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis. Last week, Davis had proclaimed that the decision by the U.S. Supreme Court allowing gay marriage violated her Christian beliefs. The ACLU of Kentucky is suing Davis to force her to issue the licenses.
Moore posted the video to youtube on Tuesday, and by Wednesday it was picked up by several national web sites, including Gawker.com. By Wednesday afternoon, it had received more than 350,000 views.
