Four federal grants for water and sewer projects

Four Kentucky water and sewer projects will share part of $547 million in grants announced Friday.

The loans and grants come through the Food, Conservation and Energy Act of 2008, also known as the Farm Bill.

The Kentucky projects, with loan listed first, followed by grants, are: Eubank (Pulaski County), $1.8 million, $715,000; North Mercer Water District, $1.55 million, $750,000; Perry County Sanitation District, $240,000, $230,000; and Stanton (Powell County), $166,000, $75,000.
