2 arrested in Grant County bank robbery

- jogawa@herald-leader.com

Police charged a Covington brother and sister with robbing a Grant County bank Friday morning.

Police say Sam Raymond Boles, 35, of Covington entered the Forcht Bank on 1250 Owenton Road in Corinth about 9:40 a.m.

Boles gave the teller a note demanding money and took an undisclosed amount of money. He fled north on Interstate 75 in a 1993 light blue Dodge Shadow, police said. A state police trooper spotted the vehicle stopped at the 146.5 mile marker with a blown tire.

Lisa Boles, 43, was arrested after she was found inside a nearby tractor trailer she was trying to catch a ride in, police said. Police found Sam Boles about 1 p.m. near his home in Covington.

Both were charged with second-degree robbery, police said.
