State highway crews continued working Thursday to clear the state's clogged roadways — a job that has been complicated by the loss of power in Western and Central Kentucky, which made some phones inoperable.
Rising water in some areas also has complicated cleanup, state highway officials said Thursday. Transportation Secretary Joe Prather cautioned that it could take more than three weeks to clear all state roads. Almost all major highways were clear Thursday, but there were problems on secondary roads as tree branches continued to fall.
Below is a list of road closings and areas where state and county road crews were working in Central Kentucky on Thursday morning.
