Donald Trump claims that Mitt Romney lost the 2012 election by making his tax returns public.
Romney’s response was that is “disqualifying” if Trump does not release them.
“Tax returns provide the public with its sole confirmation of the veracity of a candidate’s representations regarding charities, priorities, wealth, tax conformance, and conflicts of interest,” Romney says. “Further, while not a likely circumstance, the potential for hiding inappropriate associations with foreign entities, criminal organizations, or other unsavory groups is simply too great a risk to ignore for someone who is seeking to become commander-in-chief.”
What is Trump hiding? And what about Gov. Matt Bevin, who said he would release his returns after he was elected? Because he lied, I guess Sen. Mitch McConnell was correct in calling Bevin an “East Coast con man.” Just like Trump.
