A Boyle County mother was found unconscious with her 2-year-old child and several methamphetamine labs in the room with her.
The Boyle County Sheriff's Office was called to a home on Wells Landing Road after her older child walked to a neighbor's house and told them that he couldn't wake his mother, according to a press release.
When police got there they smelled a chemical odor and found the meth labs.
Social services officials took custody of the children, who were taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville as a precaution. The mother, April Raynes, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, 2 counts of controlled substance endangerment to a minor and possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Never miss a local story.
A renter in the house is believed to be involved in the manufacturing of the meth but he could not be found Thursday night, according to the release. Michael L. Ramsay has several warrants pending for the same charges as the mother. Anyone with information as to Ramsay's whereabouts should contact the Boyle County Sheriff's Office or local law enforcement.
