A former Magoffin County school principal has been sentenced to five years in prison for drug and gun offenses, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Kerry Harvey.
Darrell Patrick, 46, pleaded guilty to distributing pain pills, possession of pills with the intent to distribute, and possession of a gun in a drug crime.
Investigators made several undercover drug buys from Patrick at his house beginning in August 2009, according to the news release.
Authorities seized 87 guns from Patrick. He forfeited those guns to the federal government.
Patrick is already in custody, according to Harvey's office.
