LOUISVILLE — A Louisville woman has been charged with murder in the shooting death of another woman while police were investigating a pair of deaths up the street.
A Jefferson County grand jury indicted Cheetara Goldsmith, 24, on Thursday. The charge stems from the May 17 shooting death of Makeba Lee in the Parkland neighborhood.
The Courier-Journal reported that the grand jury also charged Goldsmith with first-degree wanton endangerment stemming from the shooting.
Police said Goldsmith shot Lee as police investigated a shooting yards away involving Tyson Mimms, 24, and Craig "C.J." Bland Jr., 22. Both died in the shooting, which remains under investigation. Mimms is the father of Lee's child.
