Central Kentucky: Periods of freezing rain and sleet were expected overnight Tuesday, the National Weather Service said. Another 1 to 3 inches of snow was expected to fall Wednesday morning. High Wednesday of about 28 degrees.
Northern Kentucky: Could see significant icing caused by freezing rain and sleet in some areas. Two to four inches of snow possible Wednesday morning.
South-central Kentucky: Rain, freezing rain and sleet continue Wednesday. Another inch or two of snow and sleet was expected to accumulate. This area has received more rain, and flooding remains a possibility in some places.
Elsewhere: Lots of harsh weather
National Weather Service posted winter storm warnings from Texas into northern New England. Thirteen deaths, so far, have been blamed on the storm.
