Basketball-loving fans from all over Kentucky will be cheering for their teams.
University of Kentucky officials said first-round tickets to the National Invitation Tournament at Memorial Coliseum went on sale Sunday night. Tickets to see UK play University of Nevada at Las Vegas are available at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
All public tickets for the first round at Memorial Coliseum are $33 each. Everyone, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Tickets will be sold first-come, first-serve.
On Monday, tickets will be available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the UK Ticket Office at the Joe Craft Center or by calling (859) 257-1818. Ticketmaster outlets at Kroger will also be offering tickets.
Student tickets are available for $5 each to full-time UK students and Bluegrass Community and Technical College students who have paid their athletics fee for the spring semester. Student tickets will be available at the Joe Craft Center Ticket Office beginning Monday at 9 a.m. Limit of one ticket per valid student ID. Students must present an ID and ticket to be admitted to the game.
University of Louisville: To play the winner of the Alabama State University vs. Morehead State University in the first round, Midwest Region, Dayton, Ohio, on Friday.
Season ticket holders who submitted NCAA post-season ticket request forms and were selected in the lottery will be contacted by e-mail. U of L students who've won the lottery will also be notified by e-mail.
Tickets will be available for pickup at the Brown and Williamson Club, on the third floor of the Papa John's Cardinal Stadium on Wednesday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., or Thursday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Dayton site is sold out. Should any tickets from the participating teams be returned, they will be made available through www.ticketmaster.com.
Western Kentucky University: To play the University of Illinois in the first round, South Region, Portland, Ore., on Thursday.
Tickets are available 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CDT Monday at the WKU Athletic Ticket Office, E.A. Diddle Arena. Or call 1-800-524-4733 until 4:30 p.m. Monday. There is a maximum of four tickets per buyer. Those who buy first-round tickets are required to buy second-round tickets if WKU advances.
Tickets for the first round are $58, plus $4 processing fee.
Morehead State: To play Alabama State in the opening round, Mid west Region in Dayton, Ohio, on Tuesday.
Season ticket holders have from 10 a.m. until noon Monday to reserve tickets by credit card or direct payment. There is a four-ticket maximum for season ticket holders.
After that, remaining tickets will be available to the general public.
Tickets can be purchased in the conference room of the Morehead Athletic Department off the main lobby of the Academic-Athletic Center. Credit card purchases can be made in person or by calling 1-877-678-2678 beginning Monday morning.
All tickets for the opening-round game, $13 for adults; under 16, $6.
At 1 p.m., 75 student tickets will become available for those with student ID; two-ticket limit per ID.
