Sergio and Maria Budar, owners of Rincon Mexicano Restaurant on Harrodsburg Road, have expanded into the space next door and opened the Rincon Mexicano Gift Shop at 3100 Harrodsburg Road, Suite 170.
Handcrafted items include Mexican Talavera ceramics, garden pots, vases, piñatas, fountains and furniture made from tequila barrels from the central Mexican states of Guanajuato, Jalisco, Queretaro, Aguascalientes and Chiapas.

■ CD Central at 377 South Limestone will celebrate Record Store Day on Saturday, with live music starting at noon with performances by Satellite Giant, Bleats, Joan Shelley, Those Crosstown Rivals, Elsinores and Oh My Me.

■ Belle Maison Antiques, 525 West Short Street, will host a trunk show for The Shade Above custom lamps and shades Friday and Saturday. Owners Robin and Scott Morris, known for shades featuring smocking and pleating, will offer 50 new custom lamps and shades. Customers can also bring their own lamps to the event to have custom shades designed.
■ Ann Greely Interiors, 497 East Main Street, will host a J. Mclaughlin spring collection trunk show 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.
■ The Antique Shops on Manchester Street will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at 1211 Manchester Street. Appraisals will be offered on dolls, silverware and furniture.
