Hobo McCoy poured in 42 points to lead Pike County Central past South Floyd 63-58 in the 15th Region tournament at the Expo Center in Pikeville.
McCoy, a senior guard, hit 14 of 25 shots from the field, including seven three-pointers, as the winners ran their record to 14-11.
Senior forward Shannon Turner led South Floyd, which finished 15-11, with 26 points and eight rebounds.
Mercer County 73, Lincoln County 66 (OT) (12th): Senior forward Matt Honchel scored 25 points to lead Mercer past host Lincoln County. The Patriots got a combined 37 points and 23 rebounds from the Hill brothers, senior Zach and sophomore Luke.
Newport Central Catholic 63, St. Henry 33 (9th): Junior guard Brady Hightchew led the way with 18 points as the Thoroughbreds ran their record to 25-6. Senior center Jake Geisler had 16 points and 15 rebounds for Newport Central Catholic. Outmanned St. Henry finished 5-18.
Ryle 61, Covington Catholic 55 (OT) (9th): Ryle won its 20th game by hitting 10 of 12 free throws in overtime.
Covington Catholic center Jake Thelen hit a three-pointer with four seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. He finished with 16 points and eight rebounds.
Senior center Bobby Staufer led Ryle with 24 points.
Bowling Green 70 Franklin Simpson 63 (4th): Chane Behanan scored 29 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead Bowling Green to its 23rd win.
