The University of Louisville will call to mind its past glories for its Jan. 17 men's basketball game against Duke in the KFC Yum Center.
The Cardinals will wear special Adidas uniforms that feature a historic 1980s-inspired blend.
The uniform is a modern take on those worn during Louisville's 1980 and 1986 NCAA championship runs.
U of L says the uniforms blend the best of the past and the present, using the lightweight technology of today and evoking a retro feel with the throwback letters, numbering and logo.
The Cardinals' first two NCAA championships are commemorated with a special callout on the jersey's inside collar. Each leg of the shorts showcases the Louisville "Dunking Bird" Cardinals logo that was prominent in the '80s.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Cardinals' 1980 NCAA championship.
