Jaamal Berry rushed for 146 and two touchdowns to lead Murray St. to a 31-3 homecoming victory over Austin Peay Saturday.
Berry's two first-half scores gave Murray State (5-3, 3-1 Ohio Valley) the early lead. Chase Dunlap drilled a 37-yard field goal for Austin Peay (0-7, 0-3) just before half time.
The Racers defense took over in the second half, shutting out the Governors.
Murray State's Maikhail Miller was efficient through the air, going 19 of 22 for 160 yards and a touchdown. Walter Powell was his favorite target, hauling in 6 catches for 59 yards and a score. Powell is now the Murray State's all-time leader in receiving yards.
Morehead State 42, Valparaiso 28: Austin Gahafer threw three touchdown passes on a career-high 458 yards passing as Morehead State (3-4, 3-1 Pioneer Football League) erased a first-half deficit for a win over host Valparaiso (1-6, 1-3).
Down 28-19 at halftime, the Eagles outscored the Crusaders 23-0 in the second half, led by two rushing touchdowns from Rob Harden.
Jake Raymond led the Eagles' receivers, catching 12 passes for 133 yards, both career-highs.
Cumberlands 38, Georgetown 35: Cumberlands' Adam Craig amassed 145 yards on the ground and two touchdowns as the Patriots (6-0) defeated visiting Georgetown (3-3). The Tigers opened the scoring early in the second quarter on a 6-yard run by Zach Sowder, but Cumberlands tied it less than four minutes later and never looked back.
Centre 24, Sewanee 14: Centre more than doubled Sewanee's (2-5) yards in the air, 270-121, en route to a win over the visiting Tigers. Centre (5-1) got 17 completions, a touchdown and an interception from Heath Hayden.
Quincy 80, Ky. Wesleyan 26: Quincy (2-5) trounced Kentucky Wesleyan (0-7) 707-331 in total yards of offense, but the Panthers' Will Barnes' 51-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Ward was one for the highlight reel.
