Chicago big man Jahlil Okafor is still the No. 1 player in the country in the eyes of Scout.com.
Scout released its updated Top 100 for the Class of 2014 on Wednesday, and Okafor remained at the top of the list. The 6-foot-11 center is planning to use an official visit for a trip to UK on Sept. 9.
Texas center Myles Turner made the biggest move in the top 10. The 7-footer jumped up three spots to take the No. 2 overall position. Turner is still considering UK and seven other schools.
Star point guards Emmanuel Mudiay and Tyus Jones followed at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively. Both players have UK offers and both are planning to take official visits to Kentucky this fall. Scout.com and 247Sports are the only two major services that have updated their rankings since the end of the July recruiting period. Both now rank Mudiay ahead of Jones.
Chicago big man Cliff Alexander, another UK target, moved up one spot to No. 5. He was followed by Stanley Johnson and Trey Lyles, who will both be in Rupp Arena for Big Blue Madness in October.
North Carolina signee Justin Jackson is ranked No. 8 and is the only non-UK recruit in the Top 10.
Justise Winslow is ninth, and UK commitment Karl Towns Jr. remained No. 10 overall.
Other UK targets on the list include Kelly Oubre (No. 11), Rashad Vaughn (No. 13), Josh Perkins (No. 25), Tyler Ulis (No. 29), Devin Booker (No. 30) and James Blackmon (No. 56).
All of those players except Perkins have scholarship offers from UK.
Ulis — a 5-8 point guard — jumped up 12 spots from No. 41 overall. He made an unofficial visit to UK last week and will return for an official visit Sept. 9.
