It's never too early for University of Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari to start planning ahead.
Although he has just one commitment so far for the class of 2015, Calipari made two recruiting visits this week to see his top targets in the 2016 class.
St. Louis wing Jayson Tatum and North Carolina power forward Harry Giles were the first two players in that class to receive UK scholarship offers, and they both hosted the Calipari this week.
Several other class of 2016 prospects have been evaluated by the UK coaching staff, including one Kentucky high school star, the son of a former NBA player and a 7-footer from Sudan who is drawing comparisons to Kevin Garnett.
A new page on the Next Cats recruiting blog chronicles 14 top UK targets for the class of 2016, with bio information, rankings, video and more on each prospect.
The page will be updated over the next few months with new information on UK's existing targets and the addition of other players that Calipari and his staff identify as possible future Cats.
