University of Kentucky senior-to-be Callum Irving was voted the best goalkeeper in college soccer in a poll announced by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
The website surveyed college coaches across the country to anonymously rate the best players in Division I position by position.
Irving recorded 10 shutouts in 2014 with a 0.77 goals against average and 65 saves. He is the reigning Conference USA Player of the Year and Defensive MVP and won the league's Golden Glove Award for recording the most shutouts in league play (five).
Irving was also a Scholar All-American last year. The Vancouver, B.C., native was named to the 2014 Conference USA All-Academic Team.
Kentucky opens its season Aug. 16 with an exhibition game at Northern Kentucky.
The Wildcats open their regular season Aug. 28 at home vs. Valparaiso.
