Former University of Kentucky linebacker Danny Trevathan, coming off a Super Bowl-winning season with the Denver Broncos, made 11 tackles his debut with the Chicago Bears on Sunday in Houston.
Trevathan, who joined the team via free agency, also sacked Houston Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler — his former teammate with Denver — once for a seven-yard loss.
Osweiler threw two TD passes and the Texans won the game 23-14.
“We’ve got to a better job of finishing,” Trevathan told CSN Chicago. “I know we are so much better than that.”
Never miss a local story.
Jerrell Freeman, another linebacker the Bears added in the offseason, led the team in tackles with 17.
