Former University of Kentucky pitcher Corey Littrell, now a St. Louis Cardinals prospect, hasn't surrendered a run in his last 23 innings.
Littrell, who also starred in high school at Louisville Trinity, pitched eight shutout innings in Class A Advanced Palm Beach's 5-0 win at Bradenton on Tuesday night.
Littrell improved to 9-8 with a 2.62 ERA. He gave up four hits and one walk in the win against Bradenton. He had five strikeouts.
He didn't give up a run in either of his previous two starts, which included eight innings on Aug. 13 and seven more on Aug. 19.
