The Oklahoma City Thunder selected Dakari Johnson with the 48th pick, giving the University of Kentucky its sixth NBA Draft selection on Thursday night.
The choice pairs Johnson with former Wildcat Enes Kanter, for whom the Thunder traded last season.
Dakari's selection gave the 2014-15 UK team six NBA Draft selections, matching the record amount of players taken from UK's 2011-12 championship team and the 1976-77 UNLV team.
Johnson averaged 6.4 points and 4.6 rebounds for the Wildcats in 16.4 minutes a game last season. He averaged 5.8 points and 4.2 rebounds through his two seasons at UK.
Never miss a local story.
