The Kentucky volleyball team's defense limited Alabama to a -.012 hitting percentage and 16 kills for the match in a 25-12, 25-8, 25-17 sweep Sunday in Memorial Coliseum.
"It was another really good win, and we were focused today," UK Coach Craig Skinner said. "I thought we were very efficient."
Kentucky (16-3, 7-1 Southeastern Conference) will host Tennessee at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The match will be televised on ESPNU.
Junior libero Stephanie Klefot led the back row's defensive effort with a match-high 12 digs. Freshman Jackie Napper had eight digs, and sophomore Jessi Greenberg had six.
Women's soccer: The Wildcats (10-4-1, 3-3-0 SEC) lost at home for the first time this season 2-0 to No. 14 Louisiana State. Kentucky outshot the Tigers 12-8, including 9-2 in the second half, but couldn't score. It was the first time the Cats had been shut out since Sept. 24 of last season.
Natalie Martineau scored both of LSU's goals.
Men's tennis: UK's Eric Quigley defeated a top-10 ranked singles player for the second time in as many days to earn the consolation-bracket title in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men's All-American Championships at Tulsa, Okla. Quigley, ranked No. 3 in the nation, defeated No. 10 Sebastian Fanselow of Pepperdine 6-3, 6-3.
