Tickets for the University of Kentucky's celebration of the opening of college basketball practice, Big Blue Madness, will be distributed Saturday, Sept. 22, the school announced Tuesday.
Big Blue Madness takes place Friday, Oct. 12 in Rupp Arena. Time and broadcast information have not yet been determined.
As usual, tickets to Big Blue Madness are free. They may be picked up at Memorial Coliseum or ordered online when the distribution begins. At Memorial Coliseum, fans will be limited to four tickets per person. Online, tickets are limited to four per household, and there is a service fee attached to the order.
The ticket distribution begins at 7 a.m. on Sept. 22 at the Memorial Coliseum ticket windows on Euclid Avenue and online at UKathletics.com and Ticketmaster.com.

Campus public safety officials are asking fans who wish to line up for tickets ahead of time at Memorial Coliseum do so no earlier than 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Two former Cats joinsoccer coaching staff
Former Kentucky soccer standouts Marco dos Santos and Barry Rice will join the UK men's soccer coaching staff, head coach Johan Cedergren announced Tuesday.
Dos Santos will serve as the graduate assistant director of operations and Rice will be the undergraduate assistant coach. They join a staff that also includes assistant coaches David Casper and Erik Imler.
Rice, from Parma, Ohio, is the only two-time All-America selection in school history. The defender started all 78 games from 2006-09, tallying 12 goals and seven assists on 87 shots.
Dos Santos, from Sao Paulo, Brazil, played at UK from 2008-09. He had six goals and eight assists in 39 games, firing 69 shots and netting one game-winning goal.
Kentucky opens its 2012 season Sunday at Dayton, and plays its home opener Sept. 7 versus St. Joseph's.
