AJ Reed (UK) was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI in Class A Quad Cities’ 5-3 victory against Burlington.
Reed, a Houston Astros prospect, is batting .270 with four home runs and nine RBI in 10 games for the River Bandits. He hit .306 with five home runs and 30 RBI before his promotion from short-season Class A Tri-City.
■ Max Kuhn (UK) was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a walk and a run scored in short-season Class A Vermont’s 4-2 win at Aberdeen.
Kuhn is batting .255 with 11 RBI in 29 games for the Oakland A’s affiliate.
■ Corey Littrell (Louisville Trinity, UK) gave up five runs — three earned — on eight hits and a walk in Class A Advanced Palm Beach’s 6-1 loss to Charlotte.
Littrell, making his first appearance for the Cardinals since joining the club in a trade from the Boston Red Sox organization, had six strikeouts in seven innings. Before the trade, he was 5-5 with a 3.60 ERA for Class A Advanced Salem.
■ Matt Reida (UK) was 2-for-2 with a double, a walk and a stolen base in the rookie-level Gulf Coast League Rays' 4-2 loss to the Red Sox.
Reida is batting .307 with 10 RBI and six steals in 28 games.
■ Grant Kay (U of L) was 1-for-3 with two runs scored in short-season Class A Hudson Valley’s 6-2 defeat of Willamsport.
Kay, a Tampa Bay Rays prospect, is batting .408 with 12 RBI in 20 games for the Renegades.
■ Jonathan Roof (St. Mary) hit a two-run single in Double-A Portland’s 7-4 win at Bowie.
The Boston Red Sox minor leaguer is batting .272 with three home runs and 19 RBI in 42 games.
■ Andy Burns (UK) was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI in Double-A New Hampshire’s 3-1 victory at Erie.
Burns is batting .266 with 12 home runs and 52 RBI for the Toronto Blue Jays affiliate.
