Kentucky's DeAndre Liggins has been named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week.
Liggins had career highs of 16 points and seven rebounds in UK's 103-61 victory over Lamar, and then he topped that with 18 points and seven rebounds in a 73-67 loss to No. 21 Miami.
In the win over Lamar, Liggins didn't miss, hitting all six field-goal attempts — including 2-for-2 from three-point range — and both of his free throws.
Tennessee's Tyler Smith was named the SEC Player of the Week.
