Former University of Kentucky guard Jodie Meeks scored 16 points to help the Milwaukee Bucks defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers 80-69 in an NBA Summer League game Sunday night in Las Vegas.
Meeks, playing in his second Summer League game, was 7-for-14 from the floor and 2-for-2 from the free-throw line. He missed his only three-point attempt.
Meeks added two rebounds, two assists and one turnover in a team-high 31:35 of play. The Bucks rookie is averaging 15 points per game and has committed just one turnover in more than 58 minutes on the court.
Brandon Jennings, Milwaukee's first-round draft pick, led the Bucks with 23 points and eight assists. Former Louisville forward Juan Palacios added one point and two rebounds.
The Bucks (2-0) will play their third Summer League game Wednesday night against the Chicago Bulls. The game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
