COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The two uncommitted high school stars among those named Tuesday to the USA junior select team that will play in the Nike Hoop Summit have Kentucky on their lists.
Brandon Knight, a guard from Coral Springs, Fla., is ranked No. 1 in the class of 2010 by Scout.com and the Rivals 150. He is considering several schools, including Kentucky, Kansas and Connecticut, but has not committed.
Terrence Jones of Portland, Ore., Scout's No. 6 power forward, was also among the nine seniors chosen Tuesday. He is considering UK. North Carolina signees Harrison Barnes, Reggie Bullock and Kendall Marshall will play against the world select team on April 10 in Portland.
Also on the roster are Ohio State-bound center Jared Sullinger, Duke signee Kyrie Irving, Memphis recruit Will Barton and Tennessee recruit Tobias Harris. Bob Cimmino of Mount Vernon, N.Y., will coach the team. The world squad, which won last year, is expected to be chosen in March.
