Back home in Rupp Arena and facing an up-tempo Arkansas team, UK avoided the slow starts of last week. Darius Miller and Anthony Davis scored 15 early points as UK jumped ahead 19-6. Kentucky did its work inside and built the lead to 30-12. Arkansas started 6-for-24 shooting, and Davis blocked shot No. 84 to set a UK single-season record.
The second half turned into a highlight reel for the Cats as they played one of their most complete games.
After starting the season 20-for-38 from the foul line, Davis has made 38 of 45.
■ An assertive Terrence Jones had 13 points, nine rebounds and five blocks.
■ Davis scored 27 points. He missed two field goals and one free throw.
■ Arkansas did not make a three-pointer in the first half. UK made one, after making none in the first half against Tennessee Saturday.
Davis set UK's single-season record for blocked shots in the first half of his 19th game. He finished with seven, giving him 89 for the season. Next record to go will be Shaquille O'Neal's SEC freshman record of 115. Pretty good stuff.
■ After turning over the ball four times during the first four minutes, UK committed only eight the rest of the way.
■ Marquis Teague had nine assists and played perhaps his best game.
■ Hard to find any downside in this one.
