Vanderbilt stayed on top early while Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist did the work for UK. Kidd-Gilchrist led an 8-0 UK charge for a 32-24 lead. Vandy responded with a 12-2 run and led 37-36 at halftime. The score was tied six times and there were six lead changes in the first half. Doron Lamb sparked UK early in the second half and Kentucky slowly pulled out to a 66-56 lead on a Darius Miller surge. Vandy answered with nine straight. Davis did it all for UK, and once again the Cats finished strong with a 17-9 closing run.
