Three former Kentucky Wildcats will be featured in an NBA pre-season game to be played at Rupp Arena in October.
The Washington Wizards will meet the New Orleans Pelicans Oct. 19 at 7 p.m.
That's the night after Rupp will play host to UK's Big Blue Madness, the team's ceremonial first practice.
The Wizards have former Wildcat John Wall, while the Pelicans have Anthony Davis and Darius Miller.
Tickets, which go on sale Friday at the Rupp Arena box office and on Ticketmaster, will range from $10 in the upper arena to $250 for courtside.
Terry Johnson, executive director of the Bluegrass Sports Commission, said the exhibition "was an idea that I was interested in last summer or fall in pursuing because, obviously, I thought it would be attractive for people to come into town to see some former UK players play in an NBA game."
The Sports Commission has partnered with Global Sports Management to promote the game.
Record attendance for an NBA exhibition in Rupp is 20,775, set in 1991 when Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls played the Seattle SuperSonics. That more than doubled the best attendance for a pro game in Lexington.
In 1994, 16,143 turned out to see the Bulls take on Jamal Mashburn and the Dallas Mavericks.
"Anthony Davis and Darius and John Wall are three of the most popular (Wildcats) in the last 10 years," Johnson said. "Their notoriety — two No. 1 draft picks and a great Kentucky kid who was a four-year player, ... we feel like there'll be a lot of interest."
