The University of Kentucky and ESPN announced Friday that ESPNU will televise UK's Oct. 10 men's basketball practice, which will be from 3-5 p.m. Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Avery Johnson will call the action for ESPNU. Myron Medcalf will handle sideline reports. Former UK All-American Tony Delk will serve as a guest analyst.
It marks the first time since the 2011-12 national championship season that UK has had a practice televised live.
Kentucky Coach John Calipari has invited scouts from all 30 NBA teams to attend the practice, and he has been talking about the event during in-home visits with recruits and their families over the past few weeks. Indiana post player Caleb Swanigan — a five-star prospect in the class of 2015 — is expected to make a trip to Lexington to check out the unique practice.
ESPN NBA Draft analyst Chad Ford has 10 UK players ranked among his top 100 prospects for next year's draft, and several Wildcats are considered possible first-round selections.
