Game Summary: The unbeaten Cats were in trouble most of the way but made it 23-0 with some clutch foul shooting. Florida came out in attack mode while UK looked out of sorts. The Cats turned it over early and Florida was up 18-9 with 11:12 left in the first half. The Gators led almost the entire first half. Karl-Anthony Towns helped cut a 28-20 deficit to 30-28 at the half - only the fifth time this year UK trailed at the intermission. Aaron Harrison came out the second half on fire and UK led 42-38 but Florida responded with six straight points. A highlight dunk by Willie Cauley sparked UK to a five-point lead and UK sealed the win at the foul line.
It seemed the Cats were in deep trouble most of the way but they found a way to win. Great teams do that.
Karl-Anthony Towns was impressive. He was the reason UK stayed within striking distance in the first half. He played tough and with energy.
When do you remember a more emphatic dunk than that one by Willie Cauley-Stein? This one also seem to turn up the energy for the Cats.
