Junior Victoria Dunlap's eye-popping stat line from Kentucky's 34-point win over Louisville on Sunday has made her the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week.
Dunlap, who had 27 points, nine rebounds, eight steals and four blocks for UK, earned her fifth overall conference Player of the Week honor.
The 6-foot-1 forward did all of that despite missing nearly a week of practice after suffering a mild concussion.
Dunlap ranks in the top three in six SEC statistical categories, including first in steals (3.6) and blocks (2.6) per game. She has scored 20 or more points in four games this season and has reached double figures in points in all nine games that she has played.
Cats still unranked
UK is off to a 10-0 record, the best start in school history, but it still failed to crack the top 25 this week. The Cats received seven votes, five more than last week. They remain one of 10 undefeated teams in the country and one of two in the SEC. The other is Georgia, against whom Kentucky will open the conference schedule on Jan. 7.
The Wildcats look to extend their record to 11-0 against UT-Martin (1-7) on Tuesday in Memorial Coliseum.
