The University of Kentucky men's basketball team is not the only squad headed to a tropical locale.
The UK women announced Thursday that they'll be taking part in the 2014 Paradise Jam to be held Nov. 27-29 at the University of the Virgin Islands in St. Thomas.
Kentucky will be one of eight Division I teams participating in the 15th annual event, joining Clemson, Florida Gulf Coast, Illinois, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Florida and Wichita State.
This marks Kentucky's second trip to the tournament, following a visit in 2004-05 in which the Wildcats won one of their three games.
Also returning for a second time are Oklahoma, South Florida, Wichita State and Florida Gulf Coast.
The Wildcats will be placed in the Reef Division, along with Illinois, Oklahoma and South Florida.
The Island Division includes Clemson, Florida Gulf Coast, Ohio State and Wichita State.
Kentucky will play Illinois on Nov. 27, Oklahoma on Nov. 28 and South Florida on Nov. 29.
The Paradise Jam is a multiple-team-event tournament, which means it counts only two of the three games against participants' 29 allotted games.
Games will be played at the $11 million UVI Sports and Fitness Center.

The UK men's basketball team will make its tropical trip later this summer, when it takes part in a series of exhibition games at Nassau, Bahamas, from Aug. 10-17.
