Kentucky sophomore Makayla Epps was named to the All-Southeastern Conference women's basketball first team by The Associated Press on Tuesday. Her teammate, senior Jennifer O'Neill, received honorable mention.
Epps, a sophomore from Marion County, leads the Wildcats in scoring at 14.5 points per game. She was also named to the first team by the league's coaches.
O'Neill averages 14.4 points.
The AP named South Carolina's Tiffany Mitchell its player of the year.
