The University of Kentucky’s football game against Florida at Kroger Field on Sept. 23 will kick off at 7 or 7:30 p.m. and be televised nationally, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday.
Kentucky-Florida is one of three SEC games that night listed with a 7 or 7:30 p.m. start time. The others are Syracuse at LSU and Auburn at Missouri.
The SEC said start times and networks for those three games will be locked in after this Saturday’s games.
The UK-Florida game will be shown on either ESPN2, ESPNU or the SEC Network.
Florida (0-1 overall, 0-0 SEC) is ranked No. 24 by The Associated Press and No. 25 in the USA Today coaches’ poll this week.
Kentucky (2-0, 0-0) has lost 30 consecutive games to the Gators dating to 1987. Florida defeated Kentucky 45-7 last season in Gainesville.
The Wildcats have beaten Southern Mississippi 24-17 and Eastern Kentucky 27-16 to open the 2017 season. UK visits South Carolina this Saturday.
Florida opened with a 33-17 loss to Michigan. The Gators’ game against Northern Colorado scheduled for this past Saturday was canceled because of Hurricane Irma. Florida is scheduled to host Tennessee this Saturday.
