Summary: UK started the game three-and-out. Florida took six plays to go 64 yards and score. On their next possession, the Gators went 85 yards on 12 plays. The UK offense managed one first down. In the last three years, Florida has outscored UK 73-0 in the first quarter.
Thumbs up: Kentucky did not have a punt blocked.
Thumbs down: UK's best defensive player, Danny Trevathan, had to sit out the first quarter.
Summary: Kentucky began to do a better job at the line of scrimmage. The Cats outgained Florida 126 to 36 yards. The UK defense helped set up a couple of scoring chances. However, a team that had not committed a turnover all year had two costly ones.
Thumbs up: Trick play on fake field goal resulted in 11-yard TD pass to Chris Matthews.
Thumbs down: Two bad reads cost QB Mike Hartline two interceptions. One went for a TD.
Summary: Florida shut down any Kentucky momentum as the offenses took over. Florida had drives of 88 and 80 yards, each taking 11 plays. The two Gators drives were sandwiched around a seven-play, 77-yard Kentucky scoring drive.
Thumbs up: Hartline responded nicely, including a 27-yard touchdown pass to Matthews.
Thumbs down: Kentucky's defense did not get the job done on third-and-long.
Summary: By early in the fourth quarter, it was a matter of just how embarrassing it would get for UK. Florida freshman backup QB Trey Burton finished off a Tim Tebow-like performance with a Gators-record six TDs. Every touchdown in the game was scored by a No. 8.
Thumbs up: Two more years before Kentucky returns to "The Swamp."
Thumbs down: Burton scored his fourth TD of the night out of the Wildcat formation.
