Summary: UK had a 62-yard TD drive on its first possession. Leading 7-0, Kentucky failed on a fourth-down play, and it took the Bucs two plays to go 50 yards to tie the score. Fourth-string running back CoShik Williams put UK back ahead with a 41-yard TD run.
Thumbs up: Donald Russell broke several tackles on a 25-yard touchdown run.
Thumbs down: UK could not pick up a fourth-and-2 at its 49-yard line.
Summary: After Mike Hartline was intercepted in the end zone, CSU marched 80 yards to even the score. By midquarter, UK was being outplayed. Hartline was 6-for-15 for 49 yards before hitting Chris Matthews for a 53-yard TD. UK scored again late in the half.
Thumbs up: Kentucky led at halftime for the first time since the third game of the season.
Thumbs down: Charleston Southern almost doubled UK in time of possession in the half.
Summary: The Kentucky offense came out sharp, going 60 yards in three plays to score. The UK defense then let Charleston Southern go on a 13-play scoring drive that lasted nearly eight minutes. Neither offense got much done in the quarter after that.
Thumbs up: Thank goodness for Danny Trevathan, who seems to make every UK tackle.
Thumbs down: The UK defense stacked the line and still had trouble stopping the run.
Summary: Kentucky spoiled any upset hopes for Charleston Southern by scoring early in the quarter. A 37-yard completion to Randall Cobb set up the touchdown. Russell went over the 100-yard rushing mark during UK's next scoring drive.
Thumbs up: Russell and Williams combined to rush for 205 yards and five touchdowns.
Thumbs down: The UK students stayed home. Or maybe these kids are smarter than we think.
