Summary: LSU frosh Odell Beckham Jr. broke loose on 51-yard TD catch. A tired UK defense kept battling. It took 20 minutes for UK to get a first down. It took more than 29 minutes for UK to complete a pass. Josh Clemons ran for 40 yards. UK had 45 yards total.
Thumbs up: The defense stepped up and played winning football.
Thumbs down: The offense did nothing.
LSU 28, Kentucky 0
Summary: Not surprising as LSU started to wear down UK defense, grinding out 68-yard drive to start the half. UK freshman QB Maxwell Smith started the half. On his second possession, he fumbled after being sandwiched on a sack and LSU ran it in for TD.
Thumbs up: Josh Clemons looked like a legit SEC back.
Thumbs down: UK has been outscored 111-0 in last 11 quarters at LSU.
LSU 35, Kentucky 7
Summary: The UK defense was beaten down and the offense kept struggling. Newton came back in at quarterback and UK added a meaningless late TD when Roark caught his first career TD.
Thumbs up: UK got its first score at LSU since 1998.
Thumbs down: LSU's defense is good but UK made it look like the '86 Bears.
