Kentucky's top remaining target at wide receiver will be back on national television Friday night.
Tavin Richardson and his Byrnes (S.C) High School teammates are traveling to California to face nationally ranked De La Salle High in a game that will be shown live at 10:15 p.m. on ESPNU. Byrnes defeated in-state opponent Northwestern in an ESPNU game three weeks ago.
Richardson — a 6-foot-3, 212-pound prospect from Duncan, S.C. — has narrowed his list to four schools, and he told the Herald-Leader last month that Kentucky was his leader. He was in Lexington in June for an unofficial visit and has scheduled a return trip for Dec. 13.
His other finalists are Nebraska, Louisville and Central Florida, and he will take official visits to those schools over the next few weeks.
Never miss a local story.
Kentucky already has commitments from two wide receivers for the class of 2015: Jabari Greenwood and Alex Stump. UK wide receivers coach Tommy Mainord told the Herald-Leader last month that the team would probably take three or four receivers in this class.
