Andrew Wiggins, the No. 1 recruit in all of high school basketball, will be in Rupp Arena for Big Blue Madness on Oct. 12.
Huntington Prep Coach Rob Fulford confirmed the visit in a text message to the Herald-Leader on Tuesday.
Wiggins, a Toronto native, is currently a member of the class of 2014, but he could reclassify to 2013 soon. If he makes the move, he would likely be the unanimous No. 1 recruit in that class.
Randle cuts Duke, UNC
Julius Randle has narrowed his list to six schools — and Duke isn't one of them.
Randle's high school, Prestonwood Christian Academy, tweeted Tuesday that the 2013 recruit is now considering Kentucky, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, North Carolina State and Kansas. Duke and North Carolina were among the schools cut from the list.
Randle's mother, Carolyn Kyles, confirmed the new list was correct.
Some considered Duke to be UK's main competition in the race to land Randle, who Rivals.com ranks as the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2013. One of Randle's best friends, five-star recruit Matt Jones, has already committed to the Blue Devils.
Randle, who visited Kentucky for last month's Alumni Game, is scheduled to take an official visit to Florida this weekend.
