Luke Kennard is ready to announce his college decision.
The 6-foot-5 shooting guard will reveal his choice Monday at 7:45 p.m., during a ceremony at his high school in Franklin, Ohio.
Kentucky has long been considered the favorite for Kennard, who grew up a UK fan and has taken several unofficial visits to Lexington over the past few months. But he took his only official visit — to Duke — earlier this month.
Scout.com national analyst Evan Daniels is predicting Kennard will give his commitment to Coach Mike Krzyzewski and the Blue Devils.
"The only official visit Kennard has taken is to Duke," Daniels told the Herald-Leader. "I think Coach K and his staff did a tremendous job recruiting him and (they have) the edge in this one."
He is also considering Ohio State, Michigan, Louisville, Florida and North Carolina.
UK already has one commitment for the class of 2015: Chicago native Charles Matthews, who is also a shooting guard. Coach John Calipari is also recruiting Mississippi's Malik Newman, another shooting guard and arguably UK's top target for 2015.
Scout.com ranks Kennard as the No. 14 overall prospect in the junior class.
