University of Kentucky basketball signee Isaiah Briscoe suffered a head injury during practice for the United States' U19 team on Thursday.
A USA Basketball spokesman confirmed to the Herald-Leader that Briscoe banged his head during practice Thursday morning and was being evaluated for a concussion.
CBSSports.com first reported the news.
NBCSports.com said Briscoe would need to pass the concussion test Friday in order to be allowed to depart with the rest of the team for the FIBA U19 World Championships in Greece.

T.J. Walker of CatsIllustrated.com tweeted that Briscoe's father said the player was in good spirits Thursday night and "fine."
Briscoe, a New Jersey native, was named to the 12-player roster Wednesday after completing tryouts for the team in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Briscoe is one of four players in Kentucky's 2015 recruiting class, joining Skal Labissiere, Charles Matthews and Mychal Mulder.
