Seven high school football games from around the country will be shown live on ESPN-affiliated channels Saturday, and two of those contests will feature University of Kentucky commitments.
At 4 p.m., Central Catholic (Ohio) hosts Benedictine (Ohio) in a game on ESNPU that will showcase the Wildcats' two highest-rated commitments from the class of 2017: Defensive end James Hudson and running back Michael Warren.
Hudson — a 6-foot-5, 260-pound prospect — is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 8 strongside defensive end in the junior class. Warren — a 5-10, 185-pounder — is considered the No. 13 running back for 2017.
Both play for Central Catholic and committed to Kentucky on the same day last month.
At 7 p.m., future UK defensive tackle Kobe Smith leads Archer (Ga.) against Peachtree Ridge (Ga.) in a game that will also be shown on ESPNU.
Smith — a 6-3, 315-pound lineman — is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 32 defensive tackle in the class of 2016. He also committed to UK last month.
One of Smith's teammates is highly touted class of 2016 linebacker Donta Evans, who recently committed to Mississippi but has said that UK's coaching staff is still recruiting him.
